Acceptance of Terms
By using any of the Cactus services, including the mod, Discord bot, and website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service in their entirety. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us on Discord.
Mod Usage
Users can use CactusMod unrestricted, as long as they comply with Mojang's EULA. Decompiling the mod to view its source code is allowed. Users must follow the license, retain the copyright notice when using the code, and refrain from making changes to the mod for redistribution.
When using ANY of the sourcecode, you must disclose the source code of your modified work and the source code you took from this project. This means you are not allowed to use code from this project (even partially) in a closed-source and/or obfuscated application. You must also state clearly and obviously to all end users that you are using code from this project. Your project must also be licensed under the same license.
Addons and Modifications
Users can create addons for CactusMod and also publish them to make changes to it. Modifications to the mod itself and following redistribution are prohibited.
Usage Restrictions
Users may not misuse the mod for commercial or malicious purposes. Monetized videos on platforms like YouTube are allowed. If you are unsure what falls under those rules, contact us via the email provided in our Imprint or via our discord server linked on our About Us page.
Updates and Opt-Out
We reserve the right to update these Terms at our discretion. Users will be provided with a 1-week (7 days) period to opt out of the changes by discontinuing use. The period begins as soon as we release a blog post stating the details about the changes.
Monitoring and Data collection
Cactus may monitor players using the mod connected to its services. Information retained includes UUID, first use time, username, and chat messages sent to Cnet (our global chat system). Additionally, crash logs involving the mod may be collected, when manually enabled by the user, for issue resolution.
Data collected is used solely within the scope of these terms. Cactus employs an internal caching mechanism for temporary data storage, automatically clearing cached information after a designated period.
By accessing this website your IP-address as well as the route you're accessing is logged to a log file on our server. We collect these logs to filter out potential malicous activity and spam to our website.
Liability and Legal Actions
The mod owner as well as its developers is not held liable for individuals or servers violating these terms. Non-compliance may result in users being banned from Cactus services, and severe violations may lead to legal actions.
